Candidate Profile

Rebecca is a Licensed Professional Counselor providing psychotherapy and psychoanalysis in her private practice. She specializes in helping people heal from developmental trauma and emotional pain, with particular expertise in working with eating struggles and body image issues, depression, relational difficulties and problems connecting with others. She has a special interest in helping creative people overcome artistic blocks and enjoys working with other therapists who are interested in psychodynamic work. She holds an M.Ed with a focus in Clinical Counseling and an MFA with a concentration in Fiction Writing. Prior to becoming a therapist, she spent 15 years in academia as a writer and researcher. She is currently an advanced clinical candidate in the Adult Psychoanalytic Training Program at STLPI and serves as the Director of the Advanced Psychodynamic Psychotherapy (APP) Program.
