APP Scholarship Program

SCHOLARSHIPS For Entering Students

The Advanced Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Program of the St. Louis Psychoanalytic Institute is committed to increasing the quality of psychotherapy and psychotherapy training in the St. Louis metropolitan area. Through a donation form the Advanced Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Alumni Association, two $1000 scholarships are available to assist with tuition for those who would contribute to the mission of raising the quality of assessment and treatment in the community, but who may find the tuition for APP training problematic.

These scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate how their participation in the APP program would positively impact upon the mental health needs of the St. Louis area. Each year the APP Alumni Association offers these scholarships which pay for partial tuition each of the two academic years in APP.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

To apply for a scholarship please send a brief note requesting consideration and attach a short essay (not more than two pages) on how post-graduate training in psychodynamic psychotherapy would benefit you and the mental health needs of the community. Also attach any other indicators of merit (see below).

  • Commitment to the practice of psychotherapy
  • Quality of clinical work (letter from supervisor)
